This is not me of course. : ) Her name is Carina and she is part of my blog team. Recently she and my photographer took a trip to Peru together.   I dream to go one day  after seeing all the breath-taking pictures!

In addition to the scenery, I also like how Carina pulled together her outfits. I asked her to share a few travel packing tips:

  • Comfort & Convenience

“My goal for travel outfits is comfort & convenience. Allow yourself to create look as you travel.  Ideally pack minimally to take advantage of local buys. For example the poncho I wore in above picture, I purchased it there.  Getting something locally to wear not only fulfills shopping needs but also helps merging into the local style.

  • Basic items go with everything

For pants and shoes, I chose styles that go with almost everything like black tights and black sneakers.  I aim for a minimum of 2 sets of simple tights to pair with different tops. A basic hat is always helpful to add a little style to your trip.

  • Try not to exceed 3 colors in one outfit

In one outfit, try not to exceed three colors. You can select the 3 colors based on the main picture location. For example: I know I will go to Monastario De Santa Catalina where red brick is the main background . Hence avoid wearing red .  Choose a contrasting bright color to pop like the mustard color cape you see in above picture.  If you go to a very colorful venue, then choose solid color clothes such as black, white or sky blue..etc”
