Greetings from Vienna, Austria, my dear Stylerighters!
Greetings from Vienna, Austria, my dear Stylerighters!
When I pick clothes to buy, I tend to choose things that could help me either look tall or slim. High waisted pants definitely fit the bill! It lifts your waistline and naturally makes your legs look longer than normal. It is the real summer 2018 must-have. If you haven’t gotten one, you are late in the game.
What makes a piece of clothing a favorite, that one item you always reach for and love wearing again and again? For me, it has to be a combination between comfort, versatility & fit. This top that I got from Nordstrom is a great example of that.
Hello everybody! I am back from my quick trip to London for the 2018 London Fashion Week. I finally caught up on my sleep and am excited to share pictures and stories of my experience. Stay tuned for upcoming posts! In the meantime, I have a late winter Portland snow event series for today.
Since this winter had been milder than normal in Portland, I was thinking “will it not snow this winter entirely?” And then it snowed. I guess my call to the universe was heard. : )
Today I received my JORD watch, and opening it felt like Christmas! I haven’t been this excited to open a package in a while, and when I saw the packaging, it was love at first sight! So I got right into planning an outfit for it in order to post about it today for you – my beautiful styleright’ers.
With the stunning wooden textures, brown and rose golden colors, and handcrafted feel of the watch, darks were the way to go. And after swifting through my mess of a closet, one piece stood out to me – my brand new Free People Jumpsuit I got two weeks ago. (more…)
Aside from fashion, my other passion over the last 10 years has been dancing Argentine tango. The look you are seeing in today’s post was shot when I attended San the Francisco Tango Marathon last November. (I know, it sounds so long ago already!)
Usually during a tango festival or marathon I dance day and night, meet friends for meals, get a bit of sleep, and don’t get to do much of anything else. But this time, I was very happy I took a half-day break from dancing, and went to Bernal Heights park for a photo shoot.
Today is Thanksgiving, so I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation.
First of all, I am very thankful for my husband providing the support and love that our family needs to fully function and grow. Ever since I started blogging, I have photo or video shoots almost every week. He often plays the role of both daddy and mommy during this time. I am also very thankful for my two loving boys showering me with their “infinite” love (according to them that is “how big” :>).
I am thankful for my loving friends who have provided tremendous support toward my blog’s success.
Last but not least, a big thanks to you, my blog readers/fans! You have shared your time and engagement to challenge or inspire me for betterment during this blogging journey.
Deciding on what to wear at a fashion show could be tricky. The pressure to piece something together that will leave an impression can be overwhelming. After the classic look for opening night, the casual look for night 2, my team and I decided I should go for a change.
Meeting winner of Fashion Accessory Competition: Nuciano
As one of three judges for this year’s Fashion Accessory Competition, I was happy to meet one of the designers I voted for, Nuciano. She specializes in handcrafted bespoke clutches with authentic swarovski crystals. I had fun talking to her, learning how she finds inspiration for her designs and how she made each bag uniquely beautiful.
As I was getting ready for second night of FashioNXT, I couldn’t stop myself from reliving the moments from the opening night. Even though I was sleep deprived from dancing till 2am, I still couldn’t wait to see what night 2 of FashioNXT was about to unfold.
By second night, I was a bit more relax with my look and my interaction with people. I decided to wear something lighter color and casual. I ended up with this Proenza Schouler white top and COMME des GARCONS grey shiny pant. I paired it with my recent favorite Cult Gaia bamboo bag.
Dancing the night away
My friend Alex , who is also my first Tango teacher, came and joined me at the After Party. Between Alex, my photographer and I , we had our mini dance party within the big party. We even danced Tango to the music that DJ was playing that night.
WILD WOMAN was name of the collection being shown that night. It is a collaboration project between Fashion designer Myriam Marcela (left in below pic) & Textile Artist Laura Renée Maier (right in below pic).
Together, they create a touring exhibition of a contemporary film and wearable art pieces to be auctioned across the world with one hundred percent of the proceeds going to invest in women in Latin America.
Check out their amazing collection in below video:
Friday always adds excitement for me, especially on a sunny day. I have been working really hard the last couple of weeks. As a result, my post today is short so I can enjoy the precious Portland late fall sun.
Launching Style Right has exposed me to many fellow artists around the country; whom I often notice have unique taste in fashion. This has inspired me in what I do, which is why I decided to interview them and share their stories and successes, in the hopes of inspiring you.
My love for jumpsuits continues from last year. I have always hoped ONE DAY someone will design a jumpsuit that prevents getting half naked for bathroom breaks. My dream is now reality. I will reveal the secret later! (Yes, keeping you hanging. : ))

Hope you all had a great week! Ever since we had our 10-year anniversary celebration at PONZI Winery, I have wanted to revisit it. I love the scenery, modern architecture and peaceful setting. The view is breathtaking!
So why not combine work and fun into one trip?
Hello everyone! I hope you had a fun weekend, especially those of you celebrating Father’s Day. I am finally over my jetlag from my recent trip to China and am excited to share some posts about summer looks with you (just in time for the hot days ahead)!
Those of you who have been following me would know I had created a look with this ACNE STUDIO PINK VEST in a previous post:
Today, on my trip to the Pearl district to meet up with a friend, I modified the look a bit by changing to jean shorts paired with a over-the-knee boots. This is an example of my fashion/styling philosophy: being able to reuse a single piece of clothing to create multiple looks is one of the keys to being fashionable!
Greetings from China and happy weekend everyone! I hope you have been able to enjoy the late spring sun as I have lately.
Portland has a lot of bridges. The only bridge I have never been on is Tilikum crossing, a bridge designed for bicyclist and pedestrian to cross the river. Bassel, my photographer, and I decided to check it out on this beautiful slightly cloudy day.
