When I was 16 years old, Polka dots were everything! My mom would wear polka dots every other day and my dad wore polka doted ties to every major occasion. I was sick of them! I never wanted to see them ever again. Even when my aunt bought me a very expensive polka dot dress for my birthday, I told her to return it and get me something else. It wasn’t until I turned 25, when polka dolts came back in style, and I finally realized the elegance of the pattern. (more…)
Hey guys, my website is encountering some issues ever since WordPress migrated it from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. I apologize for any inconvenience it might have caused to you or any mistakes you have noticed. Just want to let you know I have been working with technical support trying to restore it to its old state. Keeping my finger crossed and hope everything will be fixed as soon as possible! (more…)
I woke up feeling energized and refreshed on the second day of my London trip. My photographer and I decided on a change of scenery for our next photo shoot, so we took a trip to the English countryside. (more…)
Those of you who have read my previous post, know that I attended London Fashion Week a couple of weeks ago. London is my favorite city in Europe because of its food, fashion scene, and breathtaking architecture — not to mention I was there for Fashion Week, which adds another level of euphoria. I felt that all the cells of my body were awakened the moment I landed and couldn’t wait to get a glimpse and this season’s upcoming fashion trends. Fashion for Conservation (FFC) was the first show I went to. It was founded by three women determined to make a positive impact on the world through conservation-inspired couture. They combined their talents and passions to create fashion campaigns that educate consumers on animals and ecosystems, while donating funds to wildlife groups — all while doing it in fashion (pun intended).
Being able to go to London Fashion Week (LFW) has been a dream of mine. It is one of the goals I set when I first started Style Right. I have never thought I could achieve this goal at this early of a stage in my blogging career. However, I always believed that hard work and perseverance, no matter the obstacles, would always pay off – and it did for me.
I have very exciting news to share: I just received an official invitation to the 2018 London Fashion Week! How exciting is that!! I can’t believe it is actually happening… I am keeping my fingers crossed that my visa application will be approved on time so I can make it to London.
The retail fashion industry transition to internet makes more complex personal purchases like special occasion dresses easier every year. Finding the right outfit for a special occasion is less of a hassle. With established online retailers of designer dresses you can find many more affordable prices for good quality.
Quality and Affordability
For example a purchase 2018 cheap prom dresses keyword search lands more precisely on sites with different dresses from known designers, often lower than retail. Online retailers lower overhead, rather than a store in a trendy part of town, pass cost savings to the consumer.
The first time I met Alex Krebs was about 10 years ago. I was searching for an Argentine Tango dance teacher. A Google search quickly turned up Alex and his all-tango dance studio in SE Portland, Tango Berretin, a funky, bohemian space complete with dance shoes glued on the ceiling, a mate gourd collection, and tango artwork. I took lessons, was hooked, and joined and stayed in the community ever since.
Alex is hard to define. He not only does many things, but also does them very successfully. He is a musician and physicist by education, and an Argentine tango teacher by profession. He directs two accomplished bands — a 14-piece Balkan Brass Band, The Krebsic Orkestar, and a tango sextet. He has been featured in the New York Times, OPB, Oregonian and other major media outlets for his craft and also his community building achievements. He has performed with the Oregon Symphony, released 6 tango albums, and has tango instructional apps. Students of his have even gone on to become notable Tango teachers, DJs, and organizers. So who is he?
FASHIONXT night 4, the finale, was definitely most crowded and had the highest level of energy compared to the other nights. Many Portland celebrities, including NBA player Evan Turner, and fashion industry leading icons were all there to experience the last night of 2017 FashioNXT.
A group of friends came to join me
It was also the best night for me because 7 of my great friends all came to join me. I was able to take a lot of fun group photos with them, drink cocktails and dance as if no one was watching… Besides, after three nights of socializing and networking, I deserved a night of relaxation to simply have fun! : )
Last weekend was a great and crazy weekend! Not only did I attend all 4 nights of the Portland FashioNXT fashion show; but, also danced 4 nights of tango. I have attended FashioNXT for 5 years, this year being the first time I have been directly involved in this wonderful event:
One of the 3 judges for the FashioNXT Fashion Accessories Competition
Partnered local blogger to report the whole event for my lovely viewers.
I would like to take a moment to give a HUGE thanks to my amazing photography and videography team. I think my dear readers will agree they beautifully captured the collections and moments.
The Walking Bike
Before the show started, two people with a mobility impairment rode a walking bike on the stage to showcase the Alinker bike. The bike presents a collaboration between Daimler (One of the sponsors of FashioNXT) & Alinker. Tito, the event producer, asked the boy how his evening was going. His reply was, “It is the best day of my life”. (more…)
This week I wanted to feature one of my best creations, my 3 year old boy Ronen. He is such a delightful and whole-hearted child with a strong personality, that I have been dying to share with the rest of the world. Many consider him my mini-me, which is why I think this post will help you get to know me better.
My lingerie includes brands like Le Perla, Cosabella, L’Agent, Naja, and a few high end Chinese brands. Womens’ complicated dress often results in different bras for different clothes. I have never had one bra that works with most my clothes until I recently came across a Taiwanese brand – Romensa. This Romensa 3816 multiway bra is my recent favorite; and, even better, very affordable.
I cannot say enough good things about this bra. The nude color matches any lighter color outfits. The lack of underwire makes it comfortable to wear. The material is so soft and breathable; and, the best part, shapes my breast well. This video below shows how Romensa Bra 3816 can be used in 8 different ways.
Here is a comparison picture of me wearing another bra brand (on the left) & Romensa 3816 bra (on the right). Pictures speak a thousand words. Of course different sized people have different bra needs. I beleive this brand may be a good candidate for many of my dear readers. Let me know what you think!

Last summer was all about the Jumpsuit for me. This year I have found a new obsession: Asymmetry. In fact, asymmetry is also very much in this summer.
I stumbled upon this asymmetric dress while I was shopping online (FORWARD) this past winter. It was on a huge sale and I bought it right away because of the unique color combo, ruffle details, and, most importantly, its asymmetry!
Greetings from Banff, Canada! We are here for a week on a family vacation. Everything we have seen so far is incredibly beautiful! I am super excited to see how the trip will continue to unfold. I will certainly share some photos from the trip either on the upcoming post or on my Instagram (follow me to check them out).
Monday for me is always calling for wearing something more formal, energetic & refreshing because it is the start of a new week. Today’s look is a pretty typical Monday look of mine. A classic European style dress with Chanel slingback pump, pairing with electric blue Ferragamo tote bag. (more…)
As I was working on a title for this post, a friend said: “This look of yours reminded me of the TV show ‘Mad Men’, in which the story was taking place in the 1960s. Your look is a modern take on that”. Mad Men is one of the few TV shows I watched and really liked. I understood what he meant right away and happily decided on the post title.
