My lingerie includes brands like Le Perla, Cosabella, L’Agent, Naja, and a few high end Chinese brands. Womens’ complicated dress often results in different bras for different clothes. I have never had one bra that works with most my clothes until I recently came across a Taiwanese brand – Romensa. This Romensa 3816 multiway bra is my recent favorite; and, even better, very affordable.
I cannot say enough good things about this bra. The nude color matches any lighter color outfits. The lack of underwire makes it comfortable to wear. The material is so soft and breathable; and, the best part, shapes my breast well. This video below shows how Romensa Bra 3816 can be used in 8 different ways.
Here is a comparison picture of me wearing another bra brand (on the left) & Romensa 3816 bra (on the right). Pictures speak a thousand words. Of course different sized people have different bra needs. I beleive this brand may be a good candidate for many of my dear readers. Let me know what you think!

Last summer was all about the Jumpsuit for me. This year I have found a new obsession: Asymmetry. In fact, asymmetry is also very much in this summer.
I stumbled upon this asymmetric dress while I was shopping online (FORWARD) this past winter. It was on a huge sale and I bought it right away because of the unique color combo, ruffle details, and, most importantly, its asymmetry!
Greetings from Banff, Canada! We are here for a week on a family vacation. Everything we have seen so far is incredibly beautiful! I am super excited to see how the trip will continue to unfold. I will certainly share some photos from the trip either on the upcoming post or on my Instagram (follow me to check them out).
Monday for me is always calling for wearing something more formal, energetic & refreshing because it is the start of a new week. Today’s look is a pretty typical Monday look of mine. A classic European style dress with Chanel slingback pump, pairing with electric blue Ferragamo tote bag. (more…)
As I was working on a title for this post, a friend said: “This look of yours reminded me of the TV show ‘Mad Men’, in which the story was taking place in the 1960s. Your look is a modern take on that”. Mad Men is one of the few TV shows I watched and really liked. I understood what he meant right away and happily decided on the post title.

Hello everyone! Happy weekend and I hope you have something special planned for the long memorial weekend. I am writing this post on the plane on my way to China Shanghai. I will be posting fun things I see in Shanghai on Instagram, to follow CLICKING HERE.
When I acquire a new piece of clothing, I often times will try it out with different things from my closet to see what works or how many different looks I can create. To me, it is almost more fun than going shopping. Because it is a creative, rewarding and challenging process, which I truly enjoy.
I hope all you beautiful moms out there had just as perfect a day as I did. Hubby got me flowers. Boys made bracelets from school and gave me a necklace (of course, we all know who actually got it!). We went out for a nice mother’s day brunch, and to top it all off I got to play tennis with my tango friends for almost two and a half hours! I have probably never mentioned before, but I love to play many sports. Tennis is one of my favorites。
Spring time in Portland could be tricky but also kind of fun in terms of what to wear because of weather variances from day to day. On the street, you will see people wearing a t-shirt, a jacket or sweater, and even a winter coat. The upside of that is you can choose from your entire closet to create outfits.
People often put black color clothes away when it comes to spring. For me, wearing black in spring is perfectly fine as long as you find ways to light it up or add colors. In my outfit today, I used a colorful scarf to add vibrance to the overall look.
Being a mom, I don’t get to travel much. But I usually manage to get at least one trip every year to get some “JUST ME” time. This year, I decided to chase the cherry blossoms in DC and share them with you in this post!
My photographer and I were there in the last weekend of March. The blossom was already at the tail end of it, but the flowers still looked very delicate and poetic!
I purposely arranged a natural look so I don’t detract from the beauty of the blossoms. Besides, wearing neutrals is always a good idea with all the colors that spring brings us. (more…)
Spring is finally here!! When the sun comes out in Portland, the city comes alive! My photographer and I decided to take a short trip out of the city to McMenamins Edgefield.
I finally felt warm enough to wear a dress without tights or stockings to showcase a knit dress from THREE FLOOR. Apart from classic B & W, I also love the details of this dress: the an open-weave neckline, asymmetrical details, fringe and uneven hem. Since the dress has a lot of volume, apple or pear shaped bodies may want to think twice. (more…)
Although I am geared up for spring looks, Portland’s recent March snow inspired another winter look today. : )
NW 23rd ave, Nobhill area, has always been a favorite street for a stroll. Somehow the street puts me in the mood for a European look to match the atmosphere. Today, I was going for a little French flair as you already knew. : ) (more…)
My son attends a Mandarin immersion school, Northwest Chinese Academy, which is the ONLY full Mandarin immersion school in the Portland area. We love the teachers there so much! They are so attentive and loving beyond their excellent educational competency. Hongbao gala is the school’s big fund raising event, so we go every year. Yes, the cute kiddo in below picture is my lovely son. : ). (more…)
I don’t know about you, but I have been getting a bit bored with my typical winter look–A cute, comfy sweater over jeans or miniskirt with a coat, or a sweater dress with over-the-knee boots with coat. Those were my typical winter looks and I was dying for a change.
In preparation for meeting a friend downtown at Kimpton Vintage Hotel, I spotted this silk maxi dress. Some may recall from my 10-year anniversary celebration party (as seen in the below picture). With spring is approaching, adding a bit of “flowy-ness” to welcome spring seemed appropriate to get out of the winter funk! Thus, an experiment with silk maxi dress over a black sweater with grey wool capri pant.
My followers might recall that using the same piece of clothing to create multiple looks is one of my key styling principles — “rearrange” in the header of my website. (more…)
Technically I should have “plenty” of time to enjoy a cup of coffee at ease in a café. Well, like most of you, my day gets filled with pursuits and responsibilities like two young boys, my high standard for house organization/tidiness, and my various creative outlets…. etc… So I made an extra effort to have a nice café day.
