This is a documentary film made by @ZEREE STUDIO. Zeree Bao is a sophomore in Portland Art Institute, majoring in Film Making.
His final project of this school term is to create a documentary film of someone in his life that he worships or respects. By decomposing this person’s daily life, he gives a behind-the-scenes look into this person’s hard work and dedication. The goal is to tell a light-hearted story to spread positive energy and form a good example for others to follow.
A couple of weeks ago he came to me and asked whether I could be the person for this project. I was certainly honored and accepted the challenge!
Here is the documentary film that I hope you will like. Feel free to share your thoughts on this project with us. Zeree and I will be thrilled to hear your feedback.
Film starring: my blog photographer: Bassel Hamieh & myself. : )
I am also excited to announce that I will be kicking off a youtube channel. You will see more of my style, house, kids, and cooking… all come alive before your eyes! Make sure to subscribe now.
I also encourage you to share your feedback with me so I am always offering high quality content that meets your expectations. Let’s talk!
FASHIONXT night 4, the finale, was definitely most crowded and had the highest level of energy compared to the other nights. Many Portland celebrities, including NBA player Evan Turner, and fashion industry leading icons were all there to experience the last night of 2017 FashioNXT.
A group of friends came to join me
It was also the best night for me because 7 of my great friends all came to join me. I was able to take a lot of fun group photos with them, drink cocktails and dance as if no one was watching… Besides, after three nights of socializing and networking, I deserved a night of relaxation to simply have fun! : )
Today is Thanksgiving, so I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation.
First of all, I am very thankful for my husband providing the support and love that our family needs to fully function and grow. Ever since I started blogging, I have photo or video shoots almost every week. He often plays the role of both daddy and mommy during this time. I am also very thankful for my two loving boys showering me with their “infinite” love (according to them that is “how big” :>).
I am thankful for my loving friends who have provided tremendous support toward my blog’s success.
Last but not least, a big thanks to you, my blog readers/fans! You have shared your time and engagement to challenge or inspire me for betterment during this blogging journey.
Deciding on what to wear at a fashion show could be tricky. The pressure to piece something together that will leave an impression can be overwhelming. After the classic look for opening night, the casual look for night 2, my team and I decided I should go for a change.
Meeting winner of Fashion Accessory Competition: Nuciano
As one of three judges for this year’s Fashion Accessory Competition, I was happy to meet one of the designers I voted for, Nuciano. She specializes in handcrafted bespoke clutches with authentic swarovski crystals. I had fun talking to her, learning how she finds inspiration for her designs and how she made each bag uniquely beautiful.
As I was getting ready for second night of FashioNXT, I couldn’t stop myself from reliving the moments from the opening night. Even though I was sleep deprived from dancing till 2am, I still couldn’t wait to see what night 2 of FashioNXT was about to unfold.
By second night, I was a bit more relax with my look and my interaction with people. I decided to wear something lighter color and casual. I ended up with this Proenza Schouler white top and COMME des GARCONS grey shiny pant. I paired it with my recent favorite Cult Gaia bamboo bag.
Dancing the night away
My friend Alex , who is also my first Tango teacher, came and joined me at the After Party. Between Alex, my photographer and I , we had our mini dance party within the big party. We even danced Tango to the music that DJ was playing that night.
Designer Highlight: Myriam Marcela
WILD WOMAN was name of the collection being shown that night. It is a collaboration project between Fashion designer Myriam Marcela (left in below pic) & Textile Artist Laura Renée Maier (right in below pic).
Together, they create a touring exhibition of a contemporary film and wearable art pieces to be auctioned across the world with one hundred percent of the proceeds going to invest in women in Latin America.
Check out their amazing collection in below video: (more…)
Friday always adds excitement for me, especially on a sunny day. I have been working really hard the last couple of weeks. As a result, my post today is short so I can enjoy the precious Portland late fall sun.
Last weekend was a great and crazy weekend! Not only did I attend all 4 nights of the Portland FashioNXT fashion show; but, also danced 4 nights of tango. I have attended FashioNXT for 5 years, this year being the first time I have been directly involved in this wonderful event:
One of the 3 judges for the FashioNXT Fashion Accessories Competition
Partnered local blogger to report the whole event for my lovely viewers.
I would like to take a moment to give a HUGE thanks to my amazing photography and videography team. I think my dear readers will agree they beautifully captured the collections and moments.
The Walking Bike
Before the show started, two people with a mobility impairment rode a walking bike on the stage to showcase the Alinker bike. The bike presents a collaboration between Daimler (One of the sponsors of FashioNXT) & Alinker. Tito, the event producer, asked the boy how his evening was going. His reply was, “It is the best day of my life”. (more…)
This week I wanted to feature one of my best creations, my 3 year old boy Ronen. He is such a delightful and whole-hearted child with a strong personality, that I have been dying to share with the rest of the world. Many consider him my mini-me, which is why I think this post will help you get to know me better.
I am very thrilled to have partnered with the founder of Portland’s biggest fashion show production – FashioNXT this year. I will be working with my photography & videography team to capture the experience at the show, share the behind scenes stories, and present to you the designer’s collections on the T-stage. My lingerie includes brands like Le Perla, Cosabella, L’Agent, Naja, and a few high end Chinese brands. Womens’ complicated dress often results in different bras for different clothes. I have never had one bra that works with most my clothes until I recently came across a Taiwanese brand – Romensa. This Romensa 3816 multiway bra is my recent favorite; and, even better, very affordable.
I cannot say enough good things about this bra. The nude color matches any lighter color outfits. The lack of underwire makes it comfortable to wear. The material is so soft and breathable; and, the best part, shapes my breast well. This video below shows how Romensa Bra 3816 can be used in 8 different ways.
Here is a comparison picture of me wearing another bra brand (on the left) & Romensa 3816 bra (on the right). Pictures speak a thousand words. Of course different sized people have different bra needs. I beleive this brand may be a good candidate for many of my dear readers. Let me know what you think!

ROB WOODCOX – AWARDING WINNING FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHER

Launching Style Right has exposed me to many fellow artists around the country; whom I often notice have unique taste in fashion. This has inspired me in what I do, which is why I decided to interview them and share their stories and successes, in the hopes of inspiring you.
Last summer was all about the Jumpsuit for me. This year I have found a new obsession: Asymmetry. In fact, asymmetry is also very much in this summer.
I stumbled upon this asymmetric dress while I was shopping online (FORWARD) this past winter. It was on a huge sale and I bought it right away because of the unique color combo, ruffle details, and, most importantly, its asymmetry!
Greetings from Banff, Canada! We are here for a week on a family vacation. Everything we have seen so far is incredibly beautiful! I am super excited to see how the trip will continue to unfold. I will certainly share some photos from the trip either on the upcoming post or on my Instagram (follow me to check them out).
Monday for me is always calling for wearing something more formal, energetic & refreshing because it is the start of a new week. Today’s look is a pretty typical Monday look of mine. A classic European style dress with Chanel slingback pump, pairing with electric blue Ferragamo tote bag. (more…)
Happy Tuesday, everyone. I have some exciting news to share:
First, you can now save images to Pinterest! I know many like to organize favorite images or inspirations on Pinterest. I am happy you can now do that from my blog as well!
Second, I upgraded my web hosting plan that adds more features. For example, you can view a video on the right hand side of menu section. The video you are seeing now is a recent promotion video I blogged before; but, you will see my latest Vlog at that link moving forward. (Hint! hint!) There are more changes on the way……
For those who follow my blog regularly, you may remember in a previous post — Ride or Die Makeup 2017 , I recommended my favorite eye liner — stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner. Interestingly enough, a product review research company contacted me couple weeks ago, telling me the Stila Eye Liner made it to top 6 eye liner products in their recent research. Oh Yeah!
