VLOG: REVIEW ON MY RECENT DESIGNER BAGS AND SHOES COLLECTION
Jun 25th, 2019
I have been collecting designer bags for many years now and as I grow older, I find myself valuing high-quality classic pieces much more than flashy, low-quality, and non-collectible bags that go out of fashion quickly. Those classic high-end pieces just have that magic feel of high compatibility and add the perfect amount of elegance and over all value to your every-day look.
I wouldn’t say I have a big collection, but I do think I have a good collection of some signature classic bags and a few unique and edgy ones. In this video, not only will I be reviewing my recent collection of bags but will also review designer shoes including Chanel, Gucci, Stella McCartney, Fendi and more! I hope this video will help you with some of your upcoming designer bag and shoe purchase decisions! Please do let me know if you end up buying any of the items I reviewed; I would love to hear your feedback and experience. (more…)
VOGUE-INSPIRED 32 QUESTIONS WITH MERRYN ROBERTS-HUNTLEY
Apr 22nd, 2019
It has been a while since my last feature in the “Artist Interview” column. I don’t line up people to feature regularly. Instead, it seems life has a way of putting me at the right place and right time with the right people that inspire me to feature them. This is what happened when I met AVA J. HOLMES during Portland’s FashioNXT fashion show, and when I ran into AHMED SHIHAB ELDIN while I was in DC for a Tango event…etc.
Dennis Basso’s show was the only show on the fourth day of my New York Fashion Week (NYFW) schedule. After watching eight shows in the three days prior, I became a bit sloppy – sleeping in later, showing up a bit late to shows, and taking less time getting ready, as my excitement for NYFW began vanishing.
To be completely honest, I haven’t heard much about Dennis Basso but was invited to the show, so I decided to check him out. However, the moment I walked into his go-to show space at Cipriani Hotel on 42nd Street, I felt an enormous amount of excitement and energy in the room which brought back all of the motivation. Many media outlets were there, as well as countless photographers taking pictures of very well-dressed people, and anchors conducting interviews. I knew right away this must have been the biggest show I have ever attended during NYFW and I didn’t even know of the designer that much! I couldn’t wait for it to start and learn more about him and his collection!
It’s been a while since my last makeup video. Today I am super excited to share with you some of my recent favorite makeup products! I hope you enjoy!!! Halloween is literally just around the corner! Believe it or not, even though I had dressed up in various characters throughout the year since I moved to US, I had never done a face paint. After my team learned that, they decided I have to do a Halloween makeup/paint this year.
After a brief debate on who is going to do it between myself and one of my teammates, I gave in. Here is the video of of me getting my Halloween makeup done. But before you proceed to watch this video, I have some EXCITING news to share! I am going to do a beauty product GIVEAWAY along with this video to add spice to this spooky holiday. For those of you who like, comment and share this video, you will have a chance to win: (more…)
Aside from focusing on continuously improving my blog and attending fashion shows, I like to meet new people in the industry whenever the opportunity arises. Learning how other people get good at what they do and how they find inspiration helps me to find direction and inspiration to continue my own journey.
During NYFW, I managed to attend a fashion Mingling network event in-between runway shows. The event was organized by Fashion Mingle, with an intention to build a nationwide network for fashion professionals.

A while ago, Washington State Chinese TV interviewed me for a program named “Pingchang Liao.” “Pingchang” is mandarin for ordinary or casual, and “Liao” means chat. This channel interviews “ordinary” people to offer them an opportunity to talk about their lives, dreams, aspirations, and stories. I was honored to be invited by Annie, the host of this program, to share my story.
I hope you enjoy this interview, which I agreed to do in the hopes of showing you a deeper glimpse of who I am.
As many of you now know, I have an amazingly talented blog photographer and business partner – Bassel. He and I often end up spending countless hours creating content for Style Right. Two days ago, after coming home from a late night of dancing to work on a post, we had an idea. We decided to make a video called “Bassel Does Remanda’s Makeup.”
The video shoot took about 6 hours and let me tell you, the process was hilarious and the results are shocking! You don’t want to miss the video below: (more…)
This is a documentary film made by @ZEREE STUDIO. Zeree Bao is a sophomore in Portland Art Institute, majoring in Film Making.
His final project of this school term is to create a documentary film of someone in his life that he worships or respects. By decomposing this person’s daily life, he gives a behind-the-scenes look into this person’s hard work and dedication. The goal is to tell a light-hearted story to spread positive energy and form a good example for others to follow.
A couple of weeks ago he came to me and asked whether I could be the person for this project. I was certainly honored and accepted the challenge!
Here is the documentary film that I hope you will like. Feel free to share your thoughts on this project with us. Zeree and I will be thrilled to hear your feedback.
Film starring: my blog photographer: Bassel Hamieh & myself. : )
I am also excited to announce that I will be kicking off a youtube channel. You will see more of my style, house, kids, and cooking… all come alive before your eyes! Make sure to subscribe now.
I also encourage you to share your feedback with me so I am always offering high quality content that meets your expectations. Let’s talk!
