Dennis Basso’s show was the only show on the fourth day of my New York Fashion Week (NYFW) schedule. After watching eight shows in the three days prior, I became a bit sloppy – sleeping in later, showing up a bit late to shows, and taking less time getting ready, as my excitement for NYFW began vanishing.
To be completely honest, I haven’t heard much about Dennis Basso but was invited to the show, so I decided to check him out. However, the moment I walked into his go-to show space at Cipriani Hotel on 42nd Street, I felt an enormous amount of excitement and energy in the room which brought back all of the motivation. Many media outlets were there, as well as countless photographers taking pictures of very well-dressed people, and anchors conducting interviews. I knew right away this must have been the biggest show I have ever attended during NYFW and I didn’t even know of the designer that much! I couldn’t wait for it to start and learn more about him and his collection!
Jumpsuits are my THING, as most of you probably already know. Well, guess what my SECOND THING is. Yes, it is trench coat. If jumpsuits are my lovers, then trench coats are like soulmates. They come in all kinds of different shapes, lengths and colors. But unlike soulmates, there is no need to be faithful to them.
Of all the different materials for clothing out there, cashmere has to be my favorite for winter. Soft and comfy, cashmere sweaters have always been my absolutely go-to pieces of clothing in the winter time, when I don’t feel like putting too much effort.

Many people say as their new years resolution, “New Year, New Me!” But what I have found out over the years is this statement needs an update. Why would you ever want to start over again and be “new”, when you have such a rich, lived, and experienced “old” you to count on to become a better version of yourself each and every day. We become smarter and “better” human beings by learning from our experiences – good or bad.
I was listening to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” as I was cooking Christmas Eve dinner, when a crazy idea came to my mind… I decided to wrap myself in left-over gift wrapping papers and turn myself into a giant Christmas present!!
The holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year because it helps feed my shopaholic soul, show the people I love my appreciation, and is the season of giving back! Today is your lucky day because I compiled a personalized Go-To Gifting Guide for him and her! I spent my whole day listening to Christmas music, drinking hot coco, enjoying the sound of the rain hitting my office window, and browsing the web for hours to find the perfect gifts in all price ranges for you all. I hope you find my this post as helpful as it had been for me and happy holidays!
Today is one of those days I feel like being bold. Why? Because today is my birthday!!! I am one of those people who like to make special days extraordinary. To me, it is important to enjoy and savor every moment on a special occasion in order to create the most vivid and nostalgic memories.
Today, I got ready to go to my friend’s film showing in the Pearl and was feeling adventurous. I wanted to spice things up a bit. So, I found a recent Adidas Jump Suit that I bought and thought it would give me the perfect opportunity to lighten things up and be playful.
Everyone should have a sweater wrap for Fall, in my opinion. Why? Because it is super easy to put on, makes you feel cozy and you can throw over any outfit when you need some extra warmth. The best part: wrap it up and there is your second look with the same sweater!
Every year, Portland A-listers and fashionistas eagerly await it’s biggest fashion event – FashioNXT Fashion Week. While Portland is not known for its fashion scene, FashioNXT rivals even the biggest fashions shows around. With 4 nights of non-stop fashion, it always is a fashion girl’s dream come true! This year I went to 3 of the 4 nights, Thursday – Saturday, and I have to say that I was blown away by what some of its designers are doing. Keep reading to see the highlights and best outfits from each of the nights.
